More trucks = more disruption

The fun keeps coming, folks, along the stretch of Rt. 222 where out-of-town developers are trying to build a million-square-foot warehouse and forever change the form and function of our community. Just this Saturday, a bold truck driver tried to use Tamarack Blvd (adjacent to the CVS) as a turnaround for his 18-wheeler and, well, let’s just say it didn’t go well.

When tractor-trailers are forced to find places to wait with their cargo or empty trucks prior to getting clearance to enter this prospective warehouse, this is what they’ll be doing: trying to use our neighborhoods and smaller roads are an informal truck stop.

What if you lived back there and had a medical emergency? What if this was worse the next time? What if you’re trying to get back home and an accident on a smaller road like Tamarack Blvd, caused by drivers and trucks that don’t know our neighborhoods, means you get caught in an accident too?

This will only get worse unless we band together and make our voices heard.

We’re now ONE WEEK from the next township hearing — Monday, Feb. 27, 6:30 p.m. ET, Willow Creek Elementary School — so please attend and join our efforts. THIS IS NOT OVER. THIS IS NOT A DONE DEAL. WE CAN RESIST THIS.
