We urge you to stay vigilant for information regarding the “Public Comment” portion of the Conditional Use Hearings. There are concerns that a “Public Comment” period may be inconspicuously added at the end of another hearing when attendance is low.

We encourage you to insist on adequate public notification.

ALSO: Please communicate with the Township your demand for a separate night dedicated solely to public comment, held in a facility large enough to accommodate all interested parties. • Many of you may already be aware of the recent incident where a truck overturned at a roundabout in our township. This unfortunate event caused significant disruptions for school buses, local businesses, and daily commuters. Our group, “Save Maidencreek,” is actively addressing this issue along with other concerns on Rt 222.

• In September, we submitted a report to PennDOT; since then, they have taken the initiative to cut the grass. However, PennDOT continues to reject the township’s attempts to implement an ordinance prohibiting Truck Brake Retarders, which would significantly reduce noise pollution.
  
  We urge you to reach out to your legislators via phone or email and request their assistance on this matter. Unfortunately, our concerns have been largely ignored thus far.
