We hope you all had a safe and happy holiday season. As you will no doubt be aware, on Dec. 21 the Maidencreek Township supervisors voted 2-1 in favor of the 930,000 square foot warehouse that our community has been actively fighting since the summer of 2022.
With 12 months of hearings and endless hours of comment and cross-examination behind us, the supervisors we elected to be in charge of our community’s future took the side of out-of-town developers. Yet on Monday, Jan. 19, a number of party-objector members filed a Notice of an Appeal against the township, arguing that their decision erred as a matter of constitutional law.
What does this mean?
In short, THIS FIGHT IS NOT OVER and WE WILL NOT GIVE UP. This case must be concluded before any development could take place. It also means that this warehouse is NOT A DONE DEAL. Should this case be ruled in our favor, we could yet prevent our community from being irrevocably damaged.
What is our case?
More to come there later. Just know for now that we successfully filed within the 30-day review period and that we are now awaiting hearing dates and responses from the appellees/intervenors.
Is it too late for you to help out?
Absolutely NOT. We need your support now more than ever as we embark on saving this community.
How can you help?
We need donations! Legal battles are time-consuming and expensive, but we strongly believe in our case and those representing us in court. WITH YOUR HELP, WE WILL HAVE A FIGHTING CHANCE.
Please consider donations: all proceeds raised will go directly to legal efforts against this development.
